In today’s blog we’re recommending a trip to a Puerto Aventuras, which is only a 16 minute drive north from Gate48. Some people think that you are not allowed to enter because it is a gated community like Playacar, but this is incorrect. When you arrive at the gate entrance speak with the guard on duty and tell them that you are there to visit. Soon you will be able to enjoy the unique wonders that this town offers.
Puerto Aventuras has one of the only marinas in the Riviera Maya, so if you love boats then this will feel like home. It’s one of the few marinas in Mexico that can accommodate large boats. The docks can fit anything, including yachts, sailboats, luxury ships and small fishing boats. It’s also a place for deep sea fishing.
There are many restaurants right there that have a good selection of bands and karaoke and of course great food and drinks. Puerto Aventuras is also a wildlife sanctuary, where you will find dolphins, sea lions and manatees. The dolphin facilities are in the center of the resort and are built on a tropical island with a lagoon. If you´ve ever wanted to go swimming with dolphins then this is your chance to do so.
